Logistics & Operations • Case Study
Equiifirst Logistics needed more than a public website. Its operations involved shipment intake, package records, tracking updates, receipts, arrival communication, and staff workflows across a logistics process that needed to remain organised from first contact to collection. We designed and built a connected web application and automation system that gives staff a structured operational workflow while giving customers a safer, simpler way to track shipment progress.

The challenge
A shipment can involve many small but important operational events: sender and receiver details, shipment documentation, package records, progress updates, receipts, departure information, arrival notices, and final collection.
When these steps are handled through disconnected records and manual communication, staff spend more time reconstructing information and customers have less confidence about what is happening.
The project required both sides of the operation to work together: an internal workflow for staff and a customer-facing experience that exposes only appropriate shipment information.
Our approach
We designed the system around a simple principle: staff need operational control, while customers need clear and safe visibility.
The public website introduces the business, explains the shipment journey, and provides customer tracking. Behind that experience, the staff portal supports the operational side of managing shipment records and progress.
What we built
Shipment information begins with organised sender, receiver, destination, declaration, and acknowledgement records.
Packages are recorded and tied to the correct shipment, creating a clearer relationship between cargo received and the shipment customers follow.
Customers can enter an Equiifirst tracking number and follow shipment progress without exposing sensitive internal operational records.
Staff use a separate authenticated environment designed for the internal side of shipment handling and progress management.
The workflow supports shipment documentation, professional receipts, progress communication, arrival notices, and collection guidance.
The outcome
The web application and automation workflow helped Equiifirst Logistics move key parts of its shipment process into a more structured digital system.
Staff can work through a clearer operational flow, shipment information is easier to organise, and customers have a dedicated way to follow progress without relying entirely on manual updates.
The result is not simply a new website—it is a digital layer supporting how the logistics business operates.
